Niagara Totem Pole & Wood-Carving Park

Niagara Totem Pole & Wood-Carving Park

Written by: Trails of 1812

This is North America’s largest collection of hand-carved, one-of-a-kind totem poles. Over 500 have been placed in the beautiful Niagara Parkway setting overlooking the Niagara Glen and Great Gorge. Some of the trees used are gathered from those that have fallen or died in Niagara Parks, while others have been purchased from local Mennonite communities.

Master Carver Frank Kim presents regular on-site carving and interactive demonstrations. Kim is working on a recreation of a War of 1812 battle, all done in carved totem poles. Kim has even carved some totem poles for a nine-hole mini putt golf, which is included in your admission.

Niagara Glen is located 8 km north of the Falls, just south of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and Butterfly Conservatory.
